Description:
The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS), in collaboration with the Rhode Island Medical Society (RIMS), offers the annual Directors of Medical Education conference to support the professional development needs of continuing medical education (CME) providers and system stakeholders. This activity provides directors, chairs, CME coordinators, and other professionals of CME an opportunity to develop strategies to ensure their organizational compliance with accreditation criteria and requirements, and to share best practices and strategies with their colleagues.

Interactive and didactic presentations will describe approaches and examples essential to successful design and implementation of continuing education programs, as well as effective and measureable learning activities. Participants will be encouraged to reflect, interact, and learn from each other, the content, and the faculty, and apply shared skills, ideas, and resources into their continuing education programs.

This year’s keynote address will examine how organizations can utilize behavioral economics in the development of effective medical education programs and activities, and how the environment and behavioral changes can impact and lead to improvement in health care learning.
