COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-COV-2, has caused significant loss of human life and extraordinary disruption. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have learned a good deal, but the outbreak continues to change, with new waves of disease affecting different regions of the world and with the appearance of new viral variants. Where is the pandemic heading and what is the role of widespread vaccination in ending the crisis phase? Please join us as Dr. Anthony Fauci discusses lessons learned and remaining challenges in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Objectives:
1. Describe the advances in the epidemiology, natural history, and pathogenesis of COVID-19
2. Evaluate the progress in developing and implementing therapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostics
3. Identify challenges that need to be addressed to mitigate the impact of COVID-19
