hosting an inaugural Leadership Dinner Forum on Monday, March 9, 2020, at MMS
Headquarters as an adjunct to our leadership development offerings. The dinner
forum offers our colleagues the opportunity to network and hear from other
physician leaders who have risen to leadership positions in all aspects of
medicine.
Susan R. Bailey, MD, President-elect of the American Medical Association
has agreed to be our inaugural speaker. Dr. Bailey, a distinguished
allergist/immunologist from Fort Worth, Texas, has held numerous leadership
positions with the AMA, including serving as speaker and vice speaker of the
AMA’s House of Delegates; chair of both the Advisory Panel on Women in Medicine
and the AMA Council on Medical Education. She has also represented the AMA on
the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the American Board
of Medical Specialties, and COLA. Her dedicated service in organized medicine
extends to the local and state levels, where she has served as board chair and
president of the Tarrant County Medical Society, and as vice speaker, speaker
and president of the Texas Medical Association.
This will be a dynamic evening where we can network and learn from Dr. Bailey’s
experiences.
