“The Story of the AHCA… Lessons Learned, Where We Go From Here”

The dust has barely settled from the rise and fall (and rise again?) of the American Health Care Act (AHCA), but that doesn’t mean that valuable lessons have not been learned in the process.  Alex. Calcagno, MMS Director of Advocacy, Government and Community Relations, will discuss the important takeaways that have been gleaned from the failure to launch the AHCA and how they can be applied to help improve our nation’s health care system.

Participate in this dynamic conversation with Alex. Calcagno at the 2017 MMS Resident & Fellow Section Annual Meeting, and elect your Resident/Fellow leaders for 2017-2018!

Registration includes a four-course dinner and two drink tickets. $10 for members and $20 for non-members/guests.

For a program agenda, go to www.massmed.org/rfsannualmeeting.

Want to become an RFS Leader?

As a member of the Resident and Fellow Section, you are eligible to serve on the RFS Governing Council.  As a Governing Council member, you would take an active role in directing the policy and activities of the Section both in Massachusetts and on the national level at the AMA.

For more information about Governing Council member responsibilities, please see the document labeled Resident Fellow Section 2017-2018 Elections at http://www.massmed.org/rfsannualmeeting.  Self-nomination for the RFS Governing Council is permitted!

If you have any questions about the MMS-RFS Governing Council, the election process, would like to have nomination materials emailed directly to you, or have difficulty registering for the meeting, please contact Colleen Hennessey at chennessey@mms.org or (781) 434-7315.
