“Medicare-for-All: What? Why? How?”

The idea of single payer, Medicare-for-all has gained a lot of attention recently, but what would it look like and how would it work?  Dr. Adam Gaffney will discuss why he advocates for universal, comprehensive single-payer national health insurance and how he thinks it could optimize patient access and patient care.

Learning Objectives:
1. To understand the main issues driving today's healthcare reform debate;
2. To appreciate the potential benefits of Medicare-for-All reform compared to other reform models;
3. To explore the ramifications of such reforms for practicing clinicians and their patients.

Participate in this dynamic conversation at the 2019 MMS Resident & Fellow Section Annual Meeting, and elect your Resident/Fellow leaders for 2019-2020!

Registration includes a four-course dinner and two drink tickets. $10 for members and $20 for non-members/guests.

For a program agenda and speaker bio, go to www.massmed.org/rfsannualmeeting.
